Our Fisherwoman's Vest is hand knitted using the softest sheep's wool by incredibly talented craftswomen based in the foothills of the Himalayas in Nepal. Our partnership with the cooperative supports and empowers women from marginalised rural communities by providing them with alternative livelihood opportunities.

Details

Super soft. Roll-neck. Warm rustic mocha brown. Shaped to an upper-hip silhouette for a boxy, feminine look. 

Our hand-knitted Fisherwoman's Vest offers warmth as an additional layer through out all seasons. The shape and style have been perfectly crafted to complement a range of BANJAARA garments.

Model is 5'8 tall, size UK 10, US 6, and is wearing the medium.

Our knitwear is all made by hand and so there may be slight differences in each item. As with our BANJAARA clothing, these subtle differences are what make our garments truly unique and special. 

We recommend that you air our knitwear, rather than washing them too frequently and avoid hanging to prevent overstretch. Our pure sheep’s wool has incredible odour resisting properties. To remove stains, consider gently applying warm water by hand only.

Care Guide

Think about using less chemicals and energy, and more about working with
natural cleaning methods.

-Delicate machine cycle or hand wash at no more than 30 degrees.

-Use non-enzyme/non-biological washing powder or liquid.

-Do not tumble dry.

-Wash dark colours separately.

Cosy and a perfect length for me. Love the roll at neck and bottom. Really pleased with it. Got the large, fits exactly, I'm a size 14-16, 38"" bust.

Great vest top - love it!

Super knitted vest top - so useful and goes with so many different things. Cosy for winter over t-shirts and shirts. Great quality and lovely to know it was hand knitted and hopefully helping a community. Will be buying more items from Banjaara!

Fabulous.

Love it. So snuggly warm, but I don’t get over hot in it in the way I tend to with woollen jumpers. I’ve had lots of compliments, particularly the gorgeous neckline, the colour and the rustic yarn. I’ve wanted to buy a tank top like this for ages but could never find the style that seemed just right. Now I have, this is it. I literally havn’t stopped wearing it : )
